Made to be handed over
The coin tradition stays the same. A coin no longer has to be in your pocket to be passed along.
Get invited
A trooper who has verified you sends a one-time invite. Choose your state, enter your badge number, and the free coin is yours for good.
Get its ID and QR code
Every coin has its own ID and a QR code that opens it on any phone.
Share and upgrade
Each trooper gets 100 free shares. Every claim through your coin uses one. Upgrade to Bronze, Silver or Gold any time.
Choose your agency's coin
Each coin is two-sided, with the patrol car and badge on the front and the state on the reverse. Only the badge number changes. Pick one to personalize it.
Claim your free coin
With an invite from a trooper, choose your state and enter your badge number. The plate on the coin updates. Once you claim it, the coin is yours and cannot be changed.
Claim by invitation
Coins are given trooper to trooper. Ask a trooper you know to invite you. They verify you and send a one-time link or QR code.
Have a coin ID?
Type the ID from a coin to open it. Capitals, spaces and dashes do not matter.
Four finishes, one clear price each
The free coin is antique brass relief. Every paid finish adds full colour, and the metal gets richer with each step.
Good to know
What is a digital challenge coin?
It is a collectible coin with the finish and raised artwork of a physical challenge coin, viewed and kept online. Each coin has a front and back and can be turned, flipped and zoomed.
What is the coin ID?
Every coin created gets its own ID, such as CC-7K2M-9QXD-H. No two coins share one. The last character is a check, so a mistyped ID is caught right away.
What does the QR code do?
It opens that coin's page on any phone. The page shows the coin in 3D with its badge number, ID and metal. The person scanning needs no account.
Who can see my coin?
Anyone who has its QR code, link or ID. Coins are not listed anywhere, and the ID cannot be guessed, but do not put anything private in the name or message.
How do shares and upgrades work?
Every coin starts as free Antique Brass. You get 100 free shares, and each time another trooper claims a coin through yours, one is used. After that, extra shares are $0.10 each. You can upgrade a coin at any time to Bronze ($0.25), Silver ($0.50) or Gold ($1.00). Coins you already shared stay as they were.
Which insignia can I use?
Use only insignia, seals and emblems your agency has authorized. Follow your own department policy on badges, logos and mottos before issuing a coin.
